Chief designer Ernst Strobl has radically redeveloped the latest ANNAPURNA generation. As with all concepts, U-Turn incorporates the latest findings from the extreme field of acro leaders into the wings. A modified nose geometry in combination with the wafer-thin Nitinol reinforcements on the leading edge keep the profile shape under tension even on the ground. The super-elastic nickel-titanium alloy allows strong deformations and quickly returns to its original shape thanks to the memory effect. In addition, the 3D shaping (3DS) ensures optimized profile tension in the nose area. Miniribs on the trailing edge give the profile shape accuracy and thus optimize steering impulses. The elaborate geometry of the High Pressure Crossport Design (HPCD) facilitates the cross-ventilation of the crossports and creates a balanced internal pressure of the good-natured wing. The line setup has been significantly reduced in the second generation and equipped with color-differentiated sheathed PPSLS lines. The simple webbing risers were designed for a functional and elegant look. An elegant decorative line marks the rear risers for a better hanging overview and continues the Color Code Connection (CCC).
